The Master of Science in Internet Engineering program prepares students to lead the development and management of an organization's Internet and Intranet system, offering advanced programming and database training that employs state-of-the-art technological and business practices.

As a capstone project, I worked with a designer to develop a self-service website for the historical society in Townshend, VT that enabled them to build and maintain a virtual collection of historical data, display and distribute newsletters, and manage society membership. Technologies used include XHTML, Java, JavaServer Pages (JSP), Jakarta Tomcat, Postgresql, and Redhat Linux.

The Theory / Composition program presents what could almost be considered a conservatory like musical program and experience (in terms of rigor and expectation) within a liberal arts setting. Our better students are readily accepted into top notch graduate music programs or have moved into prestigious positions in education, computer related fields, etc., but they have had the broadening experience of working in other disciplines, such as foreign languages and science. - Dr. David Maves
